Hotels in Atlanta

Hotels in Atlanta offer amazing views and southern hospitality. Whether you are traveling alone or in a group, the below hotels in Atlanta will help make for a perfect Atlanta experience. Traveling in a group to Atlanta is a great idea if you are looking to learn about southern history, eat some southern food and/or catch a professional sporting event. Whatever your pleasure, you might find comfort in knowing that Atlanta is one of the best and most visited cities in the United States. Before we get you to these hotels in Atlanta, though, let’s take a look at some background information on the city.

Atlanta, located in north-east Georgia, is the state’s capital and most populous city. Approximately 500,000 people live within the city, while nearly 6 million live in the surrounding metropolitan area. A relatively new capital city, Atlanta, whose original, main purpose was to be a railway terminus, was incorporated on December 29, 1847. By the Civil War, railways leading into Atlanta had increased in numbers, making the city a strategic location for the distribution of military supplies. On September 2, 1864, Atlanta surrendered to the Union Army and thereafter was rebuilt gradually. Early in the 20th century Atlanta experienced unprecedented growth, as evidenced by the Flatiron, Empire, and Candler buildings, which still stand today, the latter of which is now the hotel listed below, The Candler Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton.

Today, Atlanta has taken a page from its early transportation roots, as Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport has been the world’s busiest airport since 1998. Nicknamed “the city in a forest”, Atlanta’s terrain features rolling hills and dense tree coverage, which is uncommon for a major city. Due to gentrification since the 1996 Summer Olympics, the city has experienced a shift in demographics, culture and aesthetics. Average high temperatures for the area hover around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer and around 44 degrees in the winter. Major points of interest include Center for Civil and Human Rights, World of Coca-Cola, CNN Center, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, Georgia State Capitol, Piedmont Park, Swan House, Atlanta History Center, Margaret Mitchell House, Tabernacle Atlanta, Centennial Olympic Park, Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta Falcons), Suntrust Park (Atlanta Braves) and State Farm Arena (Atlanta Hawks). The PGA Tour’s final event of the season, The Tour Championship, is held annually at East Lake Golf Club, while The Masters are held at Augusta National Golf Course, which is about a 2-hour drive eastward. Now that we have a little background information on the city, it’s time to get you to hotels in Atlanta that will help make for an amazing experience.

  4. Love this!  What a great place to find where you want to stay when visiting Atlanta!  Clear, informative, interesting, and I love the pricing per individual and/or group.  These hotels should pay your for the way you advertise them.  Placing hotels on this site is absolutely one of the best ways to help travelers make well-informed choices per location and amenities when planning a trip to Atlanta.  Very well written–keep this site up and going!

  5. Many thanks to you for giving us such a beautiful article and I have the opportunity to discuss something wonderful with you. I am a travel loving person and I make vacations all the time traveling to some country and I love to visit the Atlanta cities. When I read your article I found that you have described some wonderful hostels in your article which will be a useful article for everyone. You mentioned about the 789 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast Hostel and I myself spent the night at this hostel and a very good hostel. The people who are in charge of the management of this hotel are very sincere and helpful and I think that after reading your article, many people will think about taking service from the hotel and share their experiences with them.

  6. Those are some pretty snazzy hotels there. I’ve been to Georgia a long time ago and I remember we stayed in a very tiny hotel room. The ones you are showing appear to definitely be worth the price. The Social Goat has a rather bizarre name; it’s not only lovely, but it’s also economical.

I actually like the Peachtree Penthouse better, and it’s even more affordable. Thanks to your detailed reviews, I now know exactly where I’m going to stay the next time I’m in Georgia! Hopefully soon.

  7. I and my wife love to travel. Whenever we find a time we go out. So I’m very happy to see this article about my favorite thing. We know a lot about  Hotels in Atlanta from it. A few days ago I  visit that area. I got up at the hotel Hotel Clermont. There are all kinds of amenities in this hotel like a cafe, gym, saloon. For those of you who are traveling to the area, You can pick up at this hotel.

  8. Four of us are going to Atlanta and I’m pleasantly surprised how affordable Peachtree Penthouse at 300 West Peachtree Street really is. One of the locations we would want to be close to happens to be Twelve Downtown. So, I’m happy I found your post and that you included this one among your options. Thanks!

    1. Ann Peachtree Penthouse is an excellent option, luxurious and yet inexpensive. Another great choice is Twelve Downtown. You can’t go wrong with either of these. Happy travels 🙂
